Our official membership program has launched.

Our studio space and collective is gearing up to register as a non-profit society - In BC that requires us to have a membership base.

We also feel inspired by member-centred approaches to event spaces (such as Arcade in Kelowna) and want to nurture our own accountable community in Victoria.

Why the Change?

The Tribe is a network of volunteers, resident artists, and community members.
As we transition into a non-profit organization, this is a year of deepening our self-reflection as we prioritize harm reduction, consent culture, and a respect oriented code of conduct. We also must further the security at our studio and are working hard to offer a safer space to our residents and community.

Funds from this initiative, space bookings, rentals, and door fees directly support our programming which pays 20+ artists at our productions and supports our studio and programming which is home to 15+ resident artists.

1 | Private Events

We'll continue to welcome non-members to our public venue events and now enforce a private "members & friends" approach to our studio events.

ONLY official members and 1 of their guests are permitted to ‘drop-in’ to our private events.

All our private events are subject to capacity - reservations can be made via the membership portal. Door sales aren't always guaranteed.

All revenue will support the studio, our workshops, and operations.

2 | Profile + Features

We welcome member submissions and invite guest writing features on our SPOTLIGHT blog. We would love to curate and promote our community's work via our newsletter and social channels.

3 | Hear it

4| Partnerships + Resources
