On Feb. 19th we’ll be hosting our 2nd Annual AGM at the Studio.
This is an occasion to hear what we have planned for 2020, reflect on our past year, and elect our Board. If you’d like to attend in person, members can reserve their seat (free) through the event in the membership portal as of January 31st.
We’re celebrating some incredible achievements in 2019, including:

50+ new volunteers expressing interest to support our organization
For 2020, we’re looking forward to announcing:
A series of Public Productions and Private Events

Appointing our COO and Coordinators at our first Board Meeting
An exciting new workshop series
Our official registration as a non-profit organization
The Night will unfold as follows:
6 pm: Arrival / networking
6:30 pm: Start - Reflecting on 2019
7:15 pm: Discussing 2020
8:00 pm: Election Results
8:30 pm: Networking - Close
In order to achieve these milestones, we’ve developed a 50+ volunteer list, a dedicated leadership team, and fluid duties and responsibilities that flex with our production and studio seasons.
2020 BOARD ELECTIONS
Until January 31: we welcome nomination bids from active members of the community who can demonstrate:
Membership - in good standing
Prior experience in non-profit, arts, and entertainment industry leadership
Dedicated previous service to our organization or comparable arts organizations

Our Governance Structure reflects the 15 official roles and two 3rd party roles that make up our team. Our Board operates as an Executive Council, supported by two Directors at Large roles, and one appointed COO/Executive. The team is also supported by 8 appointed coordinator roles that work in direct support to the working Board Members and COO. Grey indicates roles were the previous leader is seeking renomination. Clear indicates roles that we seek to fill.

All interested in joining our team are asked to submit a nomination bid by January 31st and all requested materials before Feb.6. All candidates are asked to get up to speed with all of the ‘leadership’ and ‘org’ documents and links available on the Dox | Archive page in our membership portal. The Board is elected by the members and the COO and Coordinators are appointed by the Board to support program delivery.

Revisions to several documents noted above are currently underway; updated versions will be posted and emailed to candidates by Feb.1 2020.
By Feb. 6th at midnight: serious candidates are asked to forward the following and attend the AGM to make their participation in the election official.
A 150-word statement of intent we can feature in a candidate post
On Feb. 7th at noon: the candidate profile will be posted to our website. Nominations launch electronically and will be open until 7 pm at the AGM. During that time, we will ask our members to vote to officiate who shapes the studio's future and informs our programming.
Feb. 5th - Feb. 19th @ midnight: For the two weeks leading up to the AGM, Memberships are paused for registration to allow for a democratic process.
